Hi everyone!

I'm back home and I'm enjoying my last days with my family before school starts again next week. I had a WONDERFULL time with my family and friends in Canada and now I can't wait to get back to my December Daily album that has be waiting patiently on my table while I was away! I'm thinking of finishing my album on the 31st of December since we are still in the holiday mood around here. Only problem, my album is starting to be pretty full and I'm only at day 17. I'll see how it goes. :) I'll post here as soon as I make progress.

I'll talk to you again very very soon! :)

Salut tout le monde!

Je suis de retour à la maison et je profite des derniers moments avec ma famille avant que l'école ne recommence la semaine prochaine. J'ai passer un Noël MAGNIFIQUE avec ma famille et mes amis au Québec et maintenant je ne peut plus attendre et j'ai très très hâte de me remettre au scrap!! :) J'ai surtout très hâte de finir mon album de Noël qui m'a attendu bien patiemment sur ma table de scrap pendant que j,étais partie. Pour l'instant je pense étendre mon album jusqu'au 31 décembre parce qu'on est encore dans l'ambiance des fêtes et qu'on fait encore plein de choses le fun mais mon album est déjà pas mal plein et je n'en suis qu'au 17 décembre alors ça pourrait mettre un frein à mon élan créatif. Je vais voir ce que je vais faire avec ça. :)

En attendant, j'aimerais vous parler d'un cours qui sera donné en février chez Entre Artistes par mon amie Cécile Potier (gagnante du concours Scrapbookeuse de l'année en 2013) qui s'appelle SKETCH IT! Vous pouvez voir la description et vous inscrire juste ici. Elle est accompagnée par 10 autres scrapbookeuses talentueuses!! C'est un cours à ne pas manquer. :)

Et sur ce, j'espère que vous avez passé de superbes fêtes!

Entre Artistes - A great big news!

Hi everyone!!
Salut tout le monde!!

A big announcement if you missed it earlier on Instagram: I am now part of the fabulous Entre Artistes team. I am writing for the magazine and I will be teaching now and then on their website. I am very honored that Céline Navarro and Karine Cazenave Tapie thought of me and I am so excited for this new pathway. :) Thanks from the bottom of my heart, my friends!!


Une grande nouvelle: Je suis très honorée et surtout très heureuse de vous annoncer que je fais maintenant partie de la grande famille d'Entre Artistes! :) Je vais écrire dans la revue et aussi enseigner sur le site web. Je vous donnerai plus de nouvelles de ça quand j'aurai un cours en ligne. :)

Aujourd'hui est la date officielle de la sortie du numéro de Novembre et c'est le premier numéro auquel j'ai participé. Je sais qu'il est possible de se procurer la revue au Québec et j'espère que vous allez courir l'acheter et que vous m'en donnerez des nouvelles.  

Un énorme merci à Céline Navarro et à Karine Cazenave Tapie pour leur confiance et leur amitié. Les filles, je suis vraiment très très très heureuse de faire partie de votre équipe.

Entre Artistes | Scrapbooker of the year Part 1 of 4

Hi everyone!

Today I have something old(er) to share with you. I couldn't share it before because of publication rights but now I am free to do so. :)

First, let me back up a little.
Last year, I participated in a contest held by The Great Celine Navarro and Karine Cazenave. Together they are Entre Artistes. It's a very well known company in France. The contest was called

"Scrapbooker of the year 2013"

And there where given assignments that we had to submit. There was a mini album, a home decor project and 3 layouts with given constraints.

No, I didn't win, but I finished second. It was a very proud moment for me. :)

Part of my creations were published in the Entre Artiste's magazine. One page was published here, on my blog.
And starting today, I'd like to show you what I have sent for submission.

One of the assignments was to make a layout using only navy blue, pale yellow, pale pink and aqua.
Here's my layout using some very very old Stampin'UP! patterned paper because I didn't have any of the brand new stuff in my stash at that moment. Since then, I carry some navy blue papers. ;)

It's fun (even for me) to reminisce pages I made over a year ago. :) With all the sewing, the embroidery (Amy Tangerine hadn't launched her templates yet, or at least I wasn't aware of it), the layering of small elements, the ink droplets and sequins. It makes for a fun page to look at. :)

I'll show you the other projects in the upcoming days and weeks. Stay tuned. :)

CHA 2014 - once in a lifetime!

Hi everyone!
CHA is almost over. This morning I get to go once again, but only until 2:00 this afternoon. After that the show will be over.

What I am planning to do in these short 5 remaining hours?

I'l definitely go make one last make and take at the La-La-Land booth. Their little girls and boys stamps are SO cute and fun to color!!

And I'll go back to Lawn Fawn to see was they have in store for today as a make and take. I'm not into clear stamps at all. They don't work for me. The ink doesn't stick to the stamp, the impression is not great, BUT, but but, I was so pleased to discover Lawn Fawn's clear stamps this weekend. The quality in phenomenal and the stamping is awesome! As for the designs? To die for. Love them!! :)

I'm also planning on hanging out just a little longer with my new friends from Art Impressions. These guys are AMAZING! They are friendly, loving, generous and they made me feel right part of their family. I was blessed to meet them. :) So I'll go see if I can take in some more watercolor tricks so that I can show that to you later. :)

What else, I guess, that,s it for the planned side of the day. The rest will be surprise. I had so much fun all weekend long. I met nice people. I met famous people. I met new friends. It was an awesome experience. Here are some pictures. Don't worry I'll be back with an enormous blog post featuring all the great products that I want to get in the near future. ;)

 Heidi. You know how I feel about Heidi. :) She was the first one I went to see. And it was neat because her booth was right next to the Art impressions booth so I got to walk by several times. She might think I was stalking her. Really, I wasn't. I was just enjoying the view. ;)

She is so genuine!! Love her!

It was an amazing thing to see people taking pictures of the cards I made for Art Impressions for CHA. Oh my gosh it made me so happy!

No need to introduce the very busy Tim Holz. :) Very nice man. (I know we are blurry. I'll try to get another picture today.)

This is the very lovely Art Impressions team! And some new friends from Singapore.

This is Freddy. :)

Bonnie (Art Impressions) is drawing me something. You know, something quick, on the corner of the table. ;) Loved it!!!! We are so much alike me and her.  We share the same passions. I'd love to spend a day a Disney Studios with her, we'd just watch the designers all day long. :) I was amazed by her and her personality.

Every morning, my friends from Art Impressions would pick me up to go to the show, but that morning I was late (so sorry again guys!) so I got to walk to the next hotel to grab a shuttle to the convention center. The weather was fabulous and so was the view. I enjoyed ever bit of it. :)

I mean.... right?! :)

This is my new friend at Lawn Fawn as I made a couple of make and take there. :) Their stamps are one of the good things I discovered at the show.

Ran into the very lovely, simple, and generous Julie Ebersole!!!!

  And I got to meet Noell and Izzy!!!!!!!! So nice people!!!

I than ran into Stacy and Wendy. It was my lucky day. Nothing of that was planned and you know, CHA is huge!! So when you run into people like that, it's pure luck!

They are so nice and genuine and accessible. Incredible!! And I'll get to spend more time with them at Play (starting tonight!!) So excited!!! :)

I had lunch with my friends Karine and Celine from Entre Artistes. LOVE THESE GIRLS!!! So happy I can call them my friends.

My team. Phil, Bonnie and Kate. Love you guys. I'm so proud and happy to be part of your team. It's an honor!

 And this is Kendra, Phil and Bonnie's daughter. Oh my gosh, one more lovely people. Here she is giving me a quick watercolor class. You'll know more about that soon. :)

In action. This moment, for me, is one of the best of the entire show.  That's where I know that that's what I love. I'm an artist. :)

I have to run now. I have a shuttle to catch and a show to attend!!

Entre Artistes - What you didn't see

I don't know if you got the chance to see the Entre Artistes magazine and to see some of my work that made me obtain the second place at the Scrapbooker of the year 2013 contest but even if you have there is one page that didn't get published and that I got the right to show you here. :)

Je vais essayer d'être plus régulière et d'écrire en français plus souvent puisque quelques-unes d'entres vous en ont démontré l'intérêt. Merci d'être là!! Je ne sais pas si vous avez eu la chance de feuilleter la revue Entre Artistes et de voir les projets qui m'ont permis d'obtenir la 2e place au concours de La Scrapbookeuse de l'Année 2013, mais que vous l'ayez vue ou non, il y a une page qui n'a pas été publiée et j'ai obtenu la permission de vous la montrer ici. :)

For this assignment I got to choose a trend. I went with the color gold and I used PLENTY of Heidi Swapp supplies I love!!

Pour ce défi j'ai dû choisir une tendance du moment. J'ai choisi la couleur or et j'ai utilisé plein de produits Heidi Swapp que j'adore!!!!!

I spray misted theese chipboard letters with Heidi Swapp's Gold lamé Color shine. I misted a couple of layers until the color was really thick and rich!

Pour colorer ces lettres en chipboard j'ai utilisé le Color Shine doré de Heidi Swapp. J'ai ajouté de la couleur plusieurs fois jusqu'à ce que la couche soit assez épaisse et que la couleur soit vraiment riche!

There is some layering and clustering going on on this page! First I layered a couple of fabric and paper banners. And second I clustered paper flowers, chipboard butterflies and hearts. I sprayed the small buterfly with some Mustard Color Shine. I left the big one bare. The two hearts were sprayed with Gold Lamé Color Shine.

Puis j'ai fait un arrangement de bannières en tissus et en papier de soie imprimé et de fleurs, papillons et coeurs. La petite fleur blanche est une fleur qui était sur le bout d'une paille quand on est allé manger au restaurant thaï. :) La grosse fleur blanche au centre doré est de Heidi Swapp, ainsi que les 2 papillons. J'ai utilisé du moutarde pour le plus petit papillon et j'ai laissé le plus grand blanc.  J'ai ajouté deux petits coeurs (SU! je crois) et une fleur en métal qui est venue dans mon kit de Project Life de Studio Calico. Je n'avais aucune idée quoi faire avec ces fleurs très lourdes. Elles vont parfaitement bien sur cette page. ;)

Here's another Heidi Swapp's butterfly sprayed with mustard Color Shine.
And a velum die cut that I made with my Silhouette. The small white flower was on top of my daughter's straw when we went to a thaï restaurant. :)

Voici un autre papillon de Heidi Swapp et du Color Shine couleur moutarde. J'ai découpé la petite bulle dans du vélin à l'aide de ma Silhouette.

The background is a 8x8 color magic cardstock from Heidi Swapp misted with some mustard Color Shine. I layered it on some Dear Lizzy Velum, white textured cardstock from Bazzill and a blue patterned paper from Dear Lizzy. The orange/blue color combo is beautiful! And I had so much fun playing with all these gorgeous products that I totally forgot to add journaling to my page! ;)

Pour faire le fond j'ai utilisé un carton color magic de Heidi Swapp et du spray Color Shine couleur moutarde. J'ai supperposé sur du vélin de Dear Lizzy, du carton blanc texturé de Bazzill et une autre feuille de papier à motifs de Dear Lizzy. Le combo de couleurs bleu et orange est tellement beau!!! Et j'ai eu tellement de plaisir à faire m apage et à jouer avec les produits et les couches de papiers que j,ai complètement oublié d'écrire du texte!!!! Oups! ;)
