Art Impressions | Christmas Cards part II

Hey again everyone!

Here's another card I made with the beautiful stamp set from Art Impressions!!
I would like to enter it as well to the BE MERRY challenge. :)
And to the Anything Christmas challenge from Penny Black. :)

This time I used the three cute snowmen.

I cut out a round opening on the front of my card with my Spellbinders. I inked a circle shaped piece of cardstock that is slightly larger than my opening with some ink. I then used a stencil to add some molding paste and before the paste was dry, I sprinkled some sparkly powder over it.

These little guys were colored using Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and at the end I used some Wink of Stella in clear to add some serious shimmer that I LOVE!! That Wink of Stella makes all the difference on the card, I'm telling you!! Finally I stamped the sentiment "Warm Wishes" on a piece of cardstock and I drew a small sign around it. I colored the snow the same way i did my snowmen and I added Wink of Stella there too. The snowmen and the sign post were cutout and adhered with dimensional foam.

There you go! I hope you like it. I wish I had a better way of photographing my cards because in real life it's 100 times cuter than on these pictures. :(

I asked a photo box for Christmas.... :)

Thanks for looking!

Art Impressions | Christmas cards

Hi everyone!!

This is my second post for today. I couldn't wait to show you the 2 Christmas cards I've been working on yesterday!! :) I made them using the stamp set I chose when I won an honorable mention with this card last week! And I'm entering both of them to this week's BE MERRY challenge over at Art Impressions, and to the Anything Christmas challenge from Penny Black. :) Hoping that I can win one more time and get myself another awesome stamp or two, just in time for the Holidays!!! (These stamps are addictive I'm telling you!)
Here's the stamp set that won my heart last week!!
(click on the image to get to the Art Impressions store)

And here is one card I made with it:

It is a shaker card. I cut out an opening in the front of my card. And right behind the window I adhered 2 acetate that I stitched together leaving an opening at the top. I filled my clear pocket with come sequins in a modern Christmas color scheme and with some stars that I punched in gold glitter carsick and that I adhered back to back, so that it wouldn't be white when we open the card and look at the pocket from the inside of the card. I stitched the pocket closed and rerun the card through my sewing machine to make a double border.

I then stamped my little reindeer and colored him with Prismacolor pencil and Gambol. I cut him out leaving a white border and I adhered him in front of my card with some foam adhesive.

I finally stamped my sentiment in the inside of the card so that we would see it through the window. :)

Voilà!!
I hope you like it!!
Did you start working on your Christmas cards yet?? And if so, are you doing many cards or do you stick to one model that you're going to repeat?

I'd love to see. :)

Art impressions - I have to share!!

Hi everyone!

I just saw something on Facebook and I had to share it with you!!
It got me so excited that I had to stop everything I was doing and go make a card!!
I mean really!

Ok, here it is:

It's a video tutorial that Bonnie (Art Impressions) made to teach a very simple way to use MY FAVORITE stamps!!!

So I watched the video, 3 times, (haha!) and I broke out my stamps and my Tombow markers and played a little.

Here's my finished card. :) I'm entering it to the Art Impressions Watercolor challenge that is ending today.

I always have trouble to know on what the image will look better. I chose gold glitter paper and gold stitching and a kraft card base.

Look at this cute squirrel!!! <3 nbsp="" p="">For the drops, I scribbled with my marker on an acrylic bloc and I added water that I let drip on the card. It didn't have time to dry before I shot the pictures. I had to hurry up because the rare light was running away!!

Here's a detailed shot of the flower arrangement. I'm not a florist. I did my best. ;)

Thanks Bonnie and the team for making this video. I think it's genius and I can't wait to watch the next ones!!

Art Impression Challenge

Hi everyone!!

Hello Ai team and friends!! :)

As I saw the new Christmas stamps and all the card from my ex-team-colleges on the Art Impressions website, I couldn't resist but to participate in this months challenge!! I'd love to win some fun Christmas stamps!!!!!!!!!!! :)

So I opened my Christmas stamps box and was delighted to find a stamp I ordered in my last month of DT work for Art Impressions! Look at this large watercolor Christmas tree and these two little lambs!!

At first I thought I couldn't add much color to it, but hey, I think it looks fabulous! :) I love that I could do the sky a dark blue and purple.

And for some extra sparkle I added some clear Wink of Stella on the branches covered with snow and on the star. It was hard to capture on the picture but in real life, it's truly stunning! :) I also added some snowflakes with a white Gelly Roll pen and they are kind of shimmery too so it's pretty awesome. :)

I know that Christmas feels like moons away, especially since I now love in the South and we still had 75 degrees today, but I think that we have a northern internal clock in us and Christmas music is in full swing again in my car since 2 weeks (kid's request) so, the card, the sparkle, the music, BRING IT!! :)

Thanks for looking!!

Art Impressions | flowers and pail

Hi everyone!!

I have another watercolor series card to show you today!! :)

Here I used the pail and the same flowers as last week with the watering can. I also painted a blue wash in the background and that's changing the things up quite a bit. There aren't two cards that are the same. That's the very fun thing about these stamps! :)

And you know, if you are now ready to take the plunge and get some stamps from this collection but don't know where to start because you want them all, I'd maybe start with the set of the project you like the most. You can see them all right here. Pick one and buy the sets that you need to complement the image you want to do. For example, maybe you'll need a tree or some flowers or foliage to complete the project. It's a nice way to start a good collection.

And, have you been trying these watercolor stamps?? If so, I'd love to see your attempts. Link your cards up right in the comment section here. :)

Art Impressions | The milk can

Hi everyone!!

I have another watercolor card today for you:

One of my favorite set from the watercolor series is the container set because by simply changing one container, you can make a totally other card. I can,t tell you which container is my favorite because I truly love them all! :)

A simple scene here that you can achieve with just a little practice. I finished the card by adding some paint splatters. I didn't add any sentiment so I now have a card in my stash for any occasion. I love that!

Thanks for stopping by!!
