Yesterday as I was working on the beginning of my 2016 Project Life album, I figured that I needed to make another calendar. Last year I really appreciated the little boxes to write details and have a good monthly overview since I'm now working on a weekly basis anymore.
Hier je travaillais sur le commencement de mon album Project Life 2016 quand je me suis aperçue que j,avais besoin d'un nouveau calendrier!! L'année passée j'ai beaucoup aimé les petites cases que j'avais pour écrire les gros événements du mois. Ca me donnait une vue d'ensemble. Comme je ne fais plus mon album semaine par semaine, mais que je travaille plutôt au mois, c'est quelque chose que j,aime avoir pour me donner un point de repère dans le temps.

This year I decided to go just a little big bigger and I made a 6x6 calendar that I will add at the beginning of each month in an extra page protector. Here's how it looks like.
Donc cette année j'ai décidé d'y aller un peu plus gros et de faire un calendrier de format 6x6. Je vais l'ajouter au début de chaque mois. Voici de quoi il a l'air.

Simple embellishment is all it takes. :) I could also add color in the boxes.

On the other side of the calendar, I made a small page. I really loved working with this size!!
De l,autre côté du calendrier j'ai fait une petite page 6x6. J'ai adoré travailler avec ce format!!

I printed a photo in 6x6 and added only a little bit of embellishments.
J'ai imprimé une photo 6x6 et j'ai ajouté quelques embellissements.

Project Life 2015

Salut tout le monde!

Finally, I'm here today to talk to you about my Project Life album.
For me, Project Life is taking a different direction this year.
Instead of focussing on the "time", on the weeks or on when this and this event happened, I will be focussing on the STORIES themselves.
Me voilà enfin avec mon album Project Life! 
Mon album prendra une nouvelle direction cette année. 
Au lieu de focusser sur le "temps", à savoir dans quelle semaine ceci et cela s'est passé, remplir mes semaines même s'il ne s'est pas passé grand chose, je vais plutôt me concentrer sur les HISTOIRES que je veux raconter. 

How I do it: when a story pops in my head, I grab a card (3x4 or 4x6 depending on the words I want to write down) and I write it down and slip it in a pocket. When I pint the pictures, later on, I can always rearrange the cards and even change the card and rewrite the story if needed. It's not like I'll be short of a card, I have so many!! As for the printing of the photos, I'll go as I have time, little by little. After all, I don't have to wait for the end of the week anymore as my album will be constantly growing. (Printing the pictures is what I like the least about the process. My hope is that this way I'll have more freedom and that the process will be more enjoyable.)
Ma façon de faire: quand une histoire va arriver, je vais tout de suite prendre une carte (3x4 ou 4x6 dépendaient de la longueur de l'histoire) et je vais la noter et l'insérer dans mon album. Je vais me soucier de son emplacement seulement quand j'aurai imprimé mes photos. Et si au pire la carte que j'avais choisie n fonctionne vraiment pas, je réécrirai l'histoire sur une autre carte. C,est pas comme si j'allais être à court de cartes bientôt de toutes façons. hé hé! Pour ce qui est des photos, je vais les imprimer au fur et à mesure, quand j'ai du temps. Pas besoin d'attendre la fin de la semaine puisque l'album va simplement être en constante évolution. Imprimer mes photos est la partie du processus que j'aime le moins. De cette façon j'espère ressentir moins le retard qu'on peut prendre quand on fait Project Life)

I use lots of cards from the Craft the Story kit from Ali Edwads this year. They are perfect to lead the way to stories.
J'utilise plusieurs cartes du kit Craft de Story de Ali Edwards. Je trouve que ses cartes sont vraiment un bon guide pour documenter les histoires.

The kit contains also lots of tiny elements that are perfect for the Project Life format
Le kit contient aussi beaucoup de tous petits éléments qui sont parfait pour le format Project Life.

I made myself 4x6 calendars with empty spaces to write the major events that happen during the month. This way I can order the moments in my head and use the rest of the pockets to focus on the stories that happen on a regular basis (like the morning story).
Je me suis fait des calendriers 4x6 avec des cases vides pour pouvoir noter les plus gros événements du mois. Comme ça je peux avoir une vue d'ensemble du mois même si les petites pochettes racontent des histoires qui reviennent sur une base régulière (comme l'histoire des lunchs et des matins).

Here again, cards on prompts from the Craft the Story kit. The theme that month was "firsts" and we had so many firsts with the beginning of the year, with my OLW (One Little Word), new resolutions, etc.
Ici encore, des cartes du kit Craft the Story. Le thème ce mois-là était: les premières fois and on a eu tellement de premières fois en janvier alors que je mettais en marche notre petit mot de l'année (One Little Word), mes nouvelles résolutions, etc.

I'm also mixing lots of different sizes of page protectors. I adapt them to fit my stories. Here, it's a line of e-mails that I sent to and received from my old dentist as we were looking for a new dentist here in NC.
Cette année je vais aussi mélanger beaucoup de formats de pages protectrices. Je vais les choisir en fonction de mes histoires. Ici je voulais préserver un échange de e-mails que j'ai vu avec notre ancien bureau de dentiste alors qu'on se cherchait un nouveau dentiste ici en Caroline du Nord.

And next to the -mail, the story of the search for the perfect dentist continues with words and photos.
Et juste à côté du e-mail, l'histoire de la recherche avec photos et mots.

In addition to my 4x6 calendar, I made some smaller calendars that I'll use randomly as I need them.

En plus de mes calendriers 4x6, je me suis fait de petits calendriers 3x4 que j,utiliserai de façon sporadique quand j,en aurai besoin. Voici à quoi ils ressemblent:
