Title page for baby album

Salut tout le monde!

Aujourd'hui je vous montre la page qui sera la première dans l'album de Maya. Pour cette page je voulais une photo d'elle dans ses premières heures de vie (j'ai finalement choisi sa PREMIERE photo à vie! lol), son nom complet (il n'apparait pas souvent dans son album, c'est probablement parce que j'aurais aimé qu'elle porte mon nom ;) ) et sa date de naissance. Je voulais aussi que ce soit une page toute en douceur. J'ai réussi à créer ce look avec ma collection préférée: Neapolitan de Dear Lizzy par American Crafts.

Today I will show you the title page I made for Maya's album. What I wanted for this page is a picture of her in her first hours (I finally took her FIRST EVER picture!!), her full name (I don't why, but we don't find my girls last name often in their scrapbooks.....maybe because I would have like them to have my last name. ;) ) and her birthdate. What I also wanted is a very soft page. I achieved that with my all time favourite collection: American Crafts, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. :)

Un bon truc pour faire une page douce: utiliser du papier vélin. J'ai découpé le nom de Maya dans le vélin de Dear Lizzy avec ma Silhouette (une machine fantastique!), puis j'ai cousu le contour avec ma machine à coudre et du fil blanc.

I played with vellum, a great way of toning things down and making a soft looking page. I cut out Maya's full name into vellum with my Silhouette (this tool is great!). I then sewed all around the vellum with white thread.

Au bas de ma page, j'ai cousu la date de naissance de Maya que j'ai découpée avec ma Silhouette. Avant de coudre les chiffres, j'ai collé du Washi tape et une bordure de papier à motifs. J'ai ensuite estampé un vélo avec de l'encre StazOn car je voulais estamper aussi sur le Washi tape (c'est un peu plastifié) et j'ai poinçonné quelques coeurs dans du papier à motifs avec un poinçon SU! J'ai finalement dessiné les cordes pour transformer ces coeurs en ballons.

At the bottom of my page, I sewed Maya's date of birth. I cut those numbers and slash once again, with my Silhouette. Under the numbers I glued some borders. One is Washi tape and the other one is just a strip on patterned paper. On the right I stamped a bicycle with StazOn ink because I wanted the front wheel to be stamped on the Washi tape. I then punched out some hearts with mt SU! punch into some Dear Lizzy patterned papers. I hand drew some cords to make some balloons out of the hearts.

Dans le bas de la page à gauche, pour balancer ma page, J,ai ajouté un petit regroupement d'embellissements. J'ai encore utilisé du papier vélin, blanc cette fois. J'ai découpé 2 grands coeurs que j'ai cousus ensemble. Avant de refermer complètement par contre, j'ai rempli ma petite pochette de confettis que j'ai faits moi-même avec un poinçon et du papier à motifs. J'ai inséré une étiquette Dear Lizzy sous le coeur ainsi que du Washi tape et un bout de ruban (dentelle) de Hero Arts. Sur le coeur j'ai collé une petite banderole en carton aggloméré. J'ai aussi ajouté un bouton et de baker's twine puis 2 petits confettis qui n'ont pas trouvé leur chemin dans le coeur. J'ai fini par ajouter des petites pierres du rhin dans ce petit paquet d'embellissements ainsi que dans ma petite scène de vélo. Ca vient bien finir mon projet.

On the left bottom side, for some balance, I added an embellishments cluster as well. I played again with vellum, clear one this time. I cut out 2 big hearts that I sewed together and just before finishing sewing completely, I filled the pocket heart with some confettis that I punched out from some Dear Lizzy patterned papers. I tucked a Dear Lizzy tag, Washi tape and some Hero Arts ribbon under the heart and I glued a chipboard peace over it. I added a button threaded with some baker's twine and I finished the little cluster by adding some more confettis and some rhinestones.

J'ai terminé ma page avec un petit coeur que j'ai attaché avec une mini trombone et un autre petit morceau de la bordure. J'ai mis la date de fabrication de la page et voilà, ma page est terminée. :)

At that point I went over the the bicycle scene and added some rhinestones there too. :)

I finished my page my adding a little flag that I had left over from the border I added. I added also a little heart and a mini paperclip, I stamped the date and voilà! :)
