Art Impressions | Watercolor card

Hi everyone!!
Hello Ai Fans!
I'm so excited because I ordered so many watercolor stamps and I was looking forward to start creating with them!! I can tell you that for the next few Saturdays, you'll see some watercolor cards. ;)

Starting with this one:

I don't know if you saw these stamps already. You can find them here. But I just want to warn you, when you start looking, you'll want ALL of them!!!! I know because, it happened to me. lol

Once you chose your favorite stamps, you can find Bonnie's "how to" videos right here. These will give you ideas and will guide you to a wonderful result, step by step.

After you watched the videos, you'll want to practice. Because Bonnie is modest and keep saying it's very easy, but just between us, she's an artist, so for us normal people, it takes a bit of a learning curve. ;) I stamped about 6 pots and flowers before I got a result I was happy with. That means one evening fun practicing and watching videos, and than your cards will be just beautiful! :)

Along with the stamps, you will need watercolor paper and water base ink markers. Bonnie uses Marvy Le Plume, which you can find in the Art Impressions shop, but I also used my Stampin'UP! markers and some American Crafts markers that I had at home and it works fine too. You'll just have to experiment and find colors that you like. Here is the list of the markers/colors I used for this image.
Voilà! You know everything! Now you can start creating and having fun AND impressing your friends with your work of art! ;)

Pretty Little Studio | Featuring: Vellum

Hi everyone!

Today it's my turn to be on the Pretty Little Studio blog. :)
I love those days because when I make a page, the first thing I want to do is post it here and show it to you, but often I have to wait until it's published. So today is the day where I can show you my work!!

On the Pretty Little Studio Blog you can see a step by step of how I used the vellum. The process involves a star from Heidi Swapp.

Look at this overly cute little bunny. I'm in LOVE with Pretty Little Studio's die cut. Literally!

Hope you'll pop over and leave me a comment! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Launching the Girlfriend's collection at Art Impressions

Hello Ai Fans!
Hi everyone!
Welcome to our Art Impressions BLOG HOP!!

This week we are launching the Girlfriend's collection. Fun stuff!!
I didn't realize it until later this week, but last week I showed you the wrong card and you had a preview of the Girlfriend's collection with this card:

So today I'm going to make things right and show the card I made for the BFF's collection that we launched last week (geez!).

Here's my card.

I colored this little lady with my Copics and added some wink of Stella on the cupcake, her earrings and her skirt.

The good news is that you now can get both these stamps (and all the others from both collections) online, right here: ArtImpressions. :)

For now, you can go to the Art Impressions' blog to catch the HOP from the beginning.
Or if you are already coming from there, just hop over to your next stop which will be Renée's blog. :)

Pretty Little Studio | Raid - part II

Hi everyone!
As I told you when I showed you this page, I wasn't satisfied with the "story telling". So I decided to add a 2nd page to it. I didn't follow the sketch that time (if you would like to see ho we can turn a one page sketch into a 2 pagers, you can find several examples at Get it Scrapped. Follow the link to get exactly at the right place on the website) and I didn't have another sheet of the same pattern paper to make the background so I decided to simply reuse bits of the second patterned paper I used on my first page to tie the two pages together.

Now I have (almost) all the pictures i wanted to scrapbook. And I have lots of text and loads of informations. I could probably talk for days about this race I did, but I try to keep it short on my pages so that I don't feel discouraged when I get to read it. ;)

Here is the patterned paper that ties everything together.

I also used the same golden letters, gold glittery cardstock, stars, cork chevrons and droplets of Color Shine.

Now, even though you saw pretty much the whole page here, I invite you to go to the Pretty Little Studio's blog because I am sharing a cute trick over there. I won't tell you more except maybe that it has something to do with this picture:

Thanks for stopping by!!
It's really appreciated!

Water coloring and try fold | Art Impressions

Hi everyone!
Hello Ai fans!

Thank you very much for all the comments you left on my card Thursday! I was so happy for everyone of them! :)

For my card today I used one single stamp from the gazebo try-fold stamp set.

Paired with water color, I find that it's an easy way to add a little sunshine to a friends day! :)

Have a beautiful weekend!

Art Impressions | Launching the new BFF's Blog Hop

Hello Ai Fans!
Hi everyone!

Welcome to the BFF's launch blog hop!! :)

Here's my card:

I love this image. It's a great reminder to be less serious and play more. I made it bright and fun without much embellishment because I think the image is just so great itself!

Here's the rest of the sentiment that I stamped in the inside of the card.

I did fussy cut the image and mount it with foam adhesive on the base of the card where I had stamped the image a second time.

I hope you like it!
Now continue your way to discover the rest of the BFF's new collection!!

Pretty Little Studio | Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I have a page on the Pretty Little Studio blog. :)

There is a sketch to follow and you can play along if you wish. What I particularly like about working with a sketch is that it takes you where you might have never been before. This page is not really my type of page, with LOTS (!!!) of white space…. but I must say that it came together very quickly once I had found my story and at the end of the day, I'm quite happy with my layout.

Finally, when the page was done and photographed, I decided that I wasn't satisfied and that although it looked good, my story wash,t complete. So I made a second page to complete this one. You'll see that one in a couple of days. ;) Meanwhile, go have a look at the sketch and tell me what you think of the page. Do you like a rather cute page with a shorter story, or a full page, maybe less appealing, but with way more details about the story?

Thanks for coming by today!! I appreciate it. :)
