Project Life 2014

Hi everyone!

Project Life. Yes, I'm in!!

I thought about it during weeks! I didn't have the courage to drop it, even though I knew it was very stressful for me. You know, the "being caught up" thing. And investing a couple hours every week for that. And the idea of always be taking pictures of things happening throughout the week because, well, I need a picture for my Project Life album! Of course! So anyway, Patrick told me it was my most valuable project. And than I thought I'd regret it forever if in my library there would be a year missing. You know, the year my girls turned 4 and 6. So I decided to give it a go! And here it is. And I am SO HAPPY about my decision. You have no idea how happy I am, really!

Week 01

This is only the beginning. I am up to date! That means I have 6 weeks that are completed!! :) And this makes me so so so happy!!! :)

Art Impressions birthday card

Hi everyone!!

Another card to share today!!

I think this owl stamp is my favorite at the moment! Once I started to play with it I just made one card after the other. It is so much fun to color!!

For the background, this time, I used some Heidi Swapp ink spray and I then stamped over the spray in 3 various colors. I finished the card with some rhinestones and foam dots for some dimension.

journaling: make a list

Hi everyone!
Do you some times struggle with journaling?
If so, have you ever tried to add a list to your page??
It's quick and it's easy. No need to think much, you just draw a dot, or adhere a rhinestone and you write one thing. And you continue like that until you have nothing more to say. :)
At get it scrapped today you can see many ideas to add a list to your page. Here is my take:

My page is about the "one little word" I chose to accompany me throughout the year: HEALTH.
And here is my list of goals:
I added some rub-ons from Dear Lizzy and some gold ink spray from Heidi Swapp.

And this is a die cut I made with my Silhouette. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to create with title and subtitles like this one. I incorporate my own handwriting (Body) for even more beauty. :) I love the tone on tone effect.

So, not inspired to write a long story? Write at least some little bits in a list format. 5 things is the only thing you need to think of before you start. :)

Art Impressions - Pop it up Challenge

Hi everyone!
It seems like I messed up the dates for the pop it up/decoupage/layer challenge at Art Impressions….
It's starting today, Thursday the 6th and it goes for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to play along. :)

Since I messed up, I decided to make another pop-up card for you guys!
And this time I used the pop-ups kits. It's a sheet of pre printed and colored images that you just pop out and mount on a card. You can than embellish as much or as little as you want.
With one sheet, I made 2 cards tonight. I still have 3 more sheets in my package. Not bad eh?!

Here are my two cards with some step by step of what I did.

Here I just stitched around the base square. I added the "best" banner with foam adhesive and stitched along the edge of the banner. Then I just layered all the layers with foam adhesive and I added red glitter to the red light.

Here's a side view to show you the dimension.

On my second card, I played with the outside/inside of the card to make something a little unexpected.

First I stamped the background with a basic Happy Birthday stamp (from Heidi Swapp, Hello today) in two colors of ink. I then stitched around the with card stock and adhered it to my card base. After that I just added the ladies and the handbag with foam adhesive.

And finally, inside, I added my little man with foam adhesive too and stitched the sentiment down.

It was fun, quick and easy to work with the pop ups!! And it's funny because at CHA I saw a couple of booths selling only pop ups like these so I guess it's a good way to go for people with less time on hand, or for people who don't want to spend hours and lots of thinking on a beautiful card.
